Welcome to Barry's Kennel. We are a small kennel located in Vancouver, WA. Dedicated to the preservation of the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier. We expect to produce well balanced dogs/puppies. APBT's will be correct to the United Kennel Club (UKC) breed standard and the AmStaff's will be correct to the American Kennel Club (AKC) breed standard.
Our breeding program is based on a strong understanding of our breed standards and the acknowledgement of our own dog's strengths and weaknesses. Correct temperament is the most important aspect to us with our dogs/puppies. We expect to produce very loving dogs/puppies, if not we will and do cull those who do not have the right temperament. NO HUMAN AGGRESSION is tolerated here at Barry's Kennel.
All dogs/puppies are placed on a first come basis and can be reserved with a Non-Refundable deposit. This will insure you a puppy in a litter. All "show prospect" puppies health will be free from congenital deformities at the time of sale, "pet quality" will not. All dogs/puppies shipped will be certified by our licensed veterinarian prior to going to their new home. We also recommend that you have your new dog/puppy evaluated by your own veterinarian within 72 hours of receiving the dog/puppy. With the purchase of a Barry's Kennel dog/puppy the following will be included; current on vaccinations and de-wormings, socialization with children, sounds, textures and other animals.
All APBT's will come with United Kennel Club (UKC) registration paper work, some APBT's may also come with American Dog Breeders Association (ADBA) registration paper work, and /or International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA), as well. All AmStaff's will come with American Kennel Club (AKC) registration paper work, and/or sometimes our AmStaff's will come with United Kennel Club (UKC), Canadian Kennel Club (CKC), International All Breed Canine Association (IABCA) and sometimes American Dog Breeders Association (ADBA) registration paper work, as well. These are the ONLY Registraies that Barry's Kennel will allow our dogs/puppies and their off spring to be registered with. No exceptions will be allowed.
We here at Barry's Kennel do believe that these dog's are a working breed. We do encourage our new owners to not only show their "show propect" dogs, but to do as many working events as possible. "Pet quality" dogs, we also ask that the new owners do working events. All dogs/puppies are sold on contract, "show prospect" or "pet quality".
Ear cropping is optional and available upon request at an additional charge.
