An introductory level class for anyone who'd like to separate fact from fiction when it comes to natural hoof care. The class will address the dietary and lifestyle factors that ultimately create or destroy healthy hooves as well as the trimming practices that can help weak hooves to improve and maintain healthy ones without shoes, dressings or expensive supplements. You'll leave the class with the knowledge, skills, and resources to successfully implement a natural hoof care program for your herd.
Workshop Fee: $115.00

| Eagle Valley Equestrian(E.V.E.)
is wholly dedicated to promoting and teaching a better way to be with horses—as their stewards, their teachers and their students. Our services are guided by the ‘big picture’, out of which comes a holistic and enlightened approach to the art of horsemanship. It is an approach that respects the horse as an equal partner and acknowledges the wisdom they bring to our encounters—wisdom that is ‘the way of the horse’. This approach allows for the exploration and development of assertiveness vs. aggression, boundaries vs. barriers, emotional agility vs. stagnation and authenticity vs. incongruence.
| |
| | When you open yourself up to this wisdom,
you’ll find that a ride on their back is the least of a horse’s gifts. Through mindful interactions with horses we can find empowerment, self-confidence and greater self-awareness in all that we do, whether we are on the ground or in the saddle. These are the tools needed to co-create a joyful, fulfilling life—a life we don’t merely survive, but thrive in! The horse’s natural ability to stay in the moment, maintain the ‘wide view’, act without judgement, and sense the emotional state of those around it are gifts that can help humans rebalance on a physical, mental, emotional and spiritual level. It is a way of being with horses that has the potential to be enlightening for both the horses and humans involved. At E.V.E., we believe it is the only way of being with horses that is worth practicing. We call it Enlightened Horsemanship.
| |
| | Equally important to our mission
is helping people become aware of how they can be better stewards of this splendid creature. Thanks to the individual horses who brought these topics to our attention, E.V.E. can offer help and guidance on such topics as naturopathic wellness, providing a more natural diet and lifestyle, the benefits of a ‘natural’ style of hoof trimming, how to naturally heal founder, laminitis, navicular and other hoof pathologies; and saddle fitting issues. Our goal is to be a resource for anyone looking to care for their horses in the most natural and healthful way possible. Indeed, from our experience the only way to have a truly healthy horse is to honor what nature intended for them.
